The Dean's Executive Diversity Council supports the Saint Louis University School of Medicine by developing and implementing goals germane to diversity, equity and inclusion as it pertains to our tri-part mission of education, research and clinical 护理. 成员 of the Leadership Council on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion have the opportunity to lay the groundwork for the Saint Louis University 医学院 (博彩网址大全SOM) to be a national leader in diversity, equity and inclusion issues and solutions.

A culture embracing diversity, equity and inclusion is essential for all that 博彩网址大全SOM 想要完成. A comprehensive planning process around those values will collaborate with the strategic planning process while elevating the importance of diversity, equity, 和包容作为所有博彩网址大全SOM的基础.

The council must lead by example in being a safe, welcoming, respectful campus. It will focus on developing and implementing goals germane to diversity, equity, inclusion as it pertains to our tri-part mission of education research and clinical 护理.

We must use this moment in the arc of our institution’s journey to inventory efforts around diversity, equity, inclusion across 博彩网址大全SOM, identify potential synergies, pinpoint existing gaps, establish a framework for making 博彩网址大全SOM a national leader. In so doing, it will be necessary to examine the composition and success of our faculty, staff and student body, research and scholarship, curriculum and educational programs, community engagement, the culture our community members live and experience daily. These areas should be evaluated broadly, focusing on social identities, including age, color, disability status, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, national origin, race, religion, sexual orientation, socioeconomic level and veteran status.

The Leadership Council on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is supported by the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and the Dean's Executive Diversity Council.
